We have initiated new mechanisms to ensure that the Shikshya Dikshya becomes more efficient and transparent this month. We now have official MoUs with Student Ambassadors of the school, where students receive scholarships. The ambassadors are responsible for providing first-hand information about the scholarship kids and keeping us updated with follow-up reports throughout the total scholarship duration. This would allow sponsors to know the progress of their sponsored students better and keep all involved parties accountable.
This month, we provided 37 scholarships to students from Dhulabari, Jhapa, through Shikshya Dikshya. Shikshya Dikshya is an education assistance program initiative of Krinjal that offers financial assistance to needy students. The scholarship students of Jhapa ranged from classes 1 to 10 with an equal ratio of male and female. It included tuition fees, stationery, and exam fees for one academic year of the students. The heartwarming experience with these children pushes us to reach out further and bridge more students under the umbrella of Shikshya Dikshya. We are grateful to all of our sponsors, whose contribution has enabled a child to study without any financial burden on their head. You can access the receipts of the payments made through the scholarships from here.
Pahilo Kadam is a mental health assistance program initiative of Krinjal that works in creating a space for mental health conversation and assists people seeking mental health-related help. By now we have released 10 different episodes of Ask Counsellor Anonymously (ACA), where certified counselors address various questions asked by people (anonymously). Our sessions address questions in general, which is why we have also been connecting these individuals, if interested, with professional counselors for further one-on-one sessions.
If you wish to ask a counselor anonymously or know more about different projects under Pahilo Kadam, please visit https://pahilokadam.com/ for further information.
